Abstract

This study proposes a methodology for the systematic design of coupled inductors for Ćuk converters, focusing on achieving zero current ripple in one winding. Using physical models, the approach navigates core selection, primary inductance requirements, and avoidance of saturation to determine key parameters. The study also explores the planar adaptation of magnetic elements, aligning with PCB integration trends. Two distinct coupled inductor designs are presented: one optimized for Silicon-based Ćuk converters and the other tailored for GaNbased converters.
