Abstract
We have previously developed a LAOS, a 5-layer adaptive authoring model for adaptive hypermedia, and LAG, a 3-layer adaptation model. Our primary goal is to integrate these two models and to reflect this integration as an extension of MOT, an on-line tool for adaptive hypermedia design. This paper focuses on the integration of LAG and LAOS, and the implications this integration has on the UM and AM layers in LAOS. Moreover, we show the specific functionality that can be implemented in MOT. MOT will be used as a test-bed for the European Community project 'ADAPT: Adaptivity and adaptability in ODL based on ICT' under the umbrella of the Socrates ? Minerva programme, so therefore will need to demonstrate design capabilities of different levels of adaptability and adaptivity, with special application in the distance learning domain.
