Abstract

Via simulations we designed various multi‐primary systems, and investigated their effect on color rendering in order to find the largest expansion of the color gamut of a display. Based on the matrix switching method, the color rendering in 4‐primary and 5‐primary CRT systems is calculated. Finally, the best 4‐primary system is compared to the best 5‐primary system.
