Coherent crosstalk-suppression in WDM access networks employing reflective semiconductor optical amplifiers

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

Dithering the bias current of a Reflective SOA can very effectively reduce coherent crosstalk, which can be a major limitation in WDM-PON performance using colourless RSOA-based ONUs. The power penalty was reduced from 5dB to 1dB.
