Abstract

The co- and crosspolar patterns of a cosec-squared antenna have been determined from planar near-field measurements. A probe with very low cross polarisation has been used (Cross polarisation defined as in A. Ludwig 3rd definition). The latter probe admits scalar calculation of both patterns for all directions within the sector of validity of the planar near-field method. A good comparison has been found with measured far-field patterns. Zo'n antenne laat de beperkingen zien van de planaire meet-methode en maakt een paar dingen begrijpelijk voor offset-reflector antennes
