Abstract
DESIGNED INTELLIGENCE is a multidisciplinary group from TU Eindhoven specialized in Industrial Design, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Psychology, Game Design, and Electrical Engineering. The instillation "Closer to Nature" by DESIGNED INTELLIGENCE aims to offer a richer living environment to people with Alzheimer living in care facilities, through suggesting a connection with nature. The installation offers a simple tactile interaction: a working water pump. Once the system detects movement in the pump, live feed changes to video of the animals being fed. The simple interaction make this instillation attractive to several stages of dementia. The exhibition will also include audiovisual presentations on the vision on designing for the ageing society by DESIGNED INTELLIGENCE.
