Abstract

The volatile constituents of the wood oil of Cinnamomum albiflorum Nees were investigated by GC, GC/MS, NMR, IR and high resoln. MS. About 35 constituents were present in the oil, from which 27 components could be identified. The major components include eugenol (37.0%), 1,8-cineole (29.2%), geraniol (8.7%), a-terpineol (7.5%) and terpinen-4-ol (7.3%)
