Abstract

Different aspects of the applications of micro reactor technol. are considered. The focus is on the development of a small-scale fuel processor to generate clean hydrogen from a methanol-water mixt. to fuel a 100-W proton exchange membrane fuel cell. Furthermore, the development of a silicon-based micro reactor to study the intrinsic kinetics of the catalytic partial oxidn. of methane to hydrogen and carbon monoxide is briefly discussed.
