Beyond lodging: transforming Eindhoven's empty office buildings into student complexes

This book is a publication of the masterproject Beyond Lodging, supervised by ir. Ruurd Roorda and prof. ir. Jeanne Dekkers. Thanks to the collaboration with Eindhoven Studentenstad, and Joep Huiskamp in particular, the publication of this book was made possible. In this project, 23 students - both Dutch and international students - have redesigned four empty office buildings in Eindhoven. The HEMA building, the ABN AMRO building, the Hertoghof and the TD-Building. These buildings have been redeveloped into studentcomplexes which go beyond the standard lodging units. These projects have been collected and are shown in this book.
