Abstract

This paper presents a straight-forward method to compensate baseband distortion for regularly sampled PWMs with a triangular carrier, both with symmetric and asymmetric sampling, for high-precision power electronics applications such as MRI and lithography. The method is computationally lightweight which simplifies implementation. It is shown that distortion can be reduced by over 60 dB. Measurements show that the results are accurate up to the measurement accuracy.
