Abstract

Treating 2,3-dihydroxybenzo[b]thiophene with KNH2 gave the s-vinylbenzenethiolate anion. Similarly 1,3-dihydrobenzo[c]thiophene gave the dimethylene-1,3-cyclohexadiene-7-thiolate anion. [on SciFinder (R)]
