Abstract

The probability of bit error is investigated, taking account of propagation effects in macro and micro cellular networks, noise and multiple interferers. Coherent detection of BPSK, OPSK and BFSK is considered with combined log-normal shadowing and Rayleigh fading for macro cellular radio and combined log-normal shadowing and Rician fading for micro cellular radio. The effect of interference with bit intervals randomly aligned with the wanted signal is studied for the case of BPSK.
