Abstract

This paper seeks to highlight the emerging multidimensional concepts in performance measurement as opposed to the traditional system of measurement. It identifies the similarities between the approaches used by researchers in both the manufacturing and project management (and construction management) and suggests that the construction sector can establish a single unified framework that will be flexible and adaptable enough to be used on all construction projects in all socio-economic set-up.
