    Abstract

Océ is a company that manufactures and sells printing and copying hardware and related software. To provide service support to its customers, Océ publishes technical documentation to the service technicians. To upgrade the service support the company needs to expand the distribution infrastructure. One of the main additions that this upgrade is guided by is the possibility of creating variations of each released manual, according to the regional approval preferences for multiple technicians' subgroups. Another request for future application is that of the accessibility to the manuals from many devices, of both generic and specific purpose, with varied specifications. This report analyses the problems and the options on the given requirements, and proposes the design of the new infrastructure which tackles the related business and technical issues. The process that drove to this result is explained.
