Abstract

Readability on a mobile LCD can be improved by dynamically adapting the display's intensity to the ambient illumination. A study was performed to investigate how fast to adapt the display's intensity when switching between bright and dark environments, such that people have good readability, and do not perceive display flicker. © 2008 SID.
