    Abstract

The presence of dimer and trimer clusters in secondary ion and neutral mass spectrometry gives valuable information about at. mixing in alloys. Dimer and trimer clusters of the type NbnTam are indeed detected for an ultra-pure Nb0.25Ta0.75 single crystal, which prepd. by the electron-beam zone and melting method. The data for this alloy are compared with the mass spectra of pure Nb and Ta single crystals.
