Abstract
A condition which ensures absence of periodic orbits for nonsmoothdynamical systems is presented. The condition is a higherdimensional generalization of Bendixson's criterion applicable todifferential inclusions. The main argument is based on contractionanalysis of the d-measured volume along the system trajectories.A connection to the methods for estimates of the Hausdorffdimension is emphasized.
