A comparison of micro chromatographic techniques in: GC, SFC and LC

Abstract

Based on reduced parameters: reduced plate height, reduced velocity, capacity ratio and column resistance factor equations are given valid for all forms of fluid chromatography. These equations describe speed of analysis and plates per bar pressure drop for capillary and packed columns in GG, SFG and LG. The effect of compressibility of the mobile phase is briefly discussed. Examples of state of the art micro-chromatography will be presented.
