A 17.8% efficiency nanowire solar cell: Efficiency limits

Abstract

A nanowire solar cell can fundamentally outperform its planar counterpart due to efficient light outcoupling. We demonstrate a 70mV higher Voc than a planar structure of identical material, as well a a new world record nanowire solar cell efficiency.
