Abstract

We demonstrate the use of wideband erbium-doped tellurite-fiber amplifiers, combined with bidirectional Raman amplification, to achieve the record unrepeatered transmission of a 60 nm, 40.5 Tb/s, WDM signal over 312.9 km without the use of a ROPA.
