Abstract

Employing optical phase conjugation with a polarization-diversity periodically-poled lithium-niobate subsystem, we experimentally demonstrate 42.8-Gbit/s RZ-DQPSK DWDM transmission with 0.8-bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency over 4,500 km of SSMF without inline dispersion compensation.
