Abstract
Compn. and sequence distribution of Me acrylate-styrene copolymer (I) obtained by soln. polymn. could be described according to the integrated Alfrey-Mayo model. The exptl. sequence distribution, in terms of 13C NMR-detd. triad fractions of I obtained by emulsion polymn., confirmed the validity of the model calcns. used. Moreover, a comparison between the 1H NMR spectra of the emulsion copolymer and the model calcns. of the triad fractions, demonstrated that under the described exptl. conditions, the coisotacticity parameter of I was independent of the polymn. process used; i.e., s = 0.9 provided the Ito-Yamashita assignment was correct or s = 0.3 provided the alternative assignment was correct
