Abstract
Article in Chinese: As the main building of the 2018 Harbin International Snow and Ice Construction Festival, Zhongxiang Xiangyun Tower (also known as Flamenco Tower) was designed and guided by the Sino-Dutch team of teachers and students. The project was completed on January 10, 2018 in Songbei District, Harbin, and the Maple Leaf Outlet Town Entrance Plaza broke the original world record of 21m of the international ice shell at a height of 30.541m, creating a new world record Certified on-site by a World Record Certification Authority. The architectural design of the project is based on the basic form of the traditional oriental tower, and at the same time combines the dynamics of western dance and the abstraction of the flower "lilac" in Harbin.
