Magnetic control of micro-particles and integrated micro-actuators for high precision handheld diagnostics

To speed up and reduce the cost of patient diagnostics, micro-devices capable of performing analyses using a drop of blood are being developed. These devices are based on microchannels. One of the challenges to be solved is correctly mixing the liquid with dry chemicals. This research contributes to further development of such diagnostic devices.
