Description

University Professor E.W. (Bert) Meijer of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) was awarded the Wheland Medal 2010/2011 of the University of Chicago for his extraordinary contributions to chemistry. Since 1975 the University of Chicago honors every other year renowned scientists for their original contributions to the field of chemistry. Recipients include prof. George Whitesides, prof. Bob Grubbs and prof. Fred Sanger. The prize will be presented in the week of April 4 – 8, together with the Wheland Award Lecture.
