NWO Open Competition Domain Science-M programme 'Avoiding disasters with graphics processors'

Prize: NWOOtherScientific

Your computer contains a graphics processor, which enables you to play your favourite computer game. However, it is also very successfully applied for other tasks involving the processing and analysis of large amounts of data. For instance, it can perform machine learning to interpret images. We will investigate how graphics processors can be used to analyse complex systems such as cars, planes and robots. The resulting techniques will make it possible to detect software bugs, to assess the safety and economical risks related to such systems, and to derive trajectories for robots and vehicles.
