IOI Distinguished Service Award

In recognition of contributions to the development of the International Olympiad in Informatics.

In 1995, Tom Verhoeff chaired the Host Scientific Committee for IOI 1995, which was hosted at TU Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. From 1999 until 2007, Tom chaired the International Scientific Committee of the IOI. He wrote several articles about the IOI, published in the international journal Informatics in Education and in Olympiads in Informatics (the proceedings of the annual IOI Conference).
