Zhongcheng Sun is a Doctoral Candidate at the Power and Flow group in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) under the supervision of Prof. Bart Somers and Noud Maes. His research area mainly focuses on advanced diagnostic techniques including high-speed (optical) and laser-based measurement, and low-carbon, alternative fuels (biodiesel and e-fuels).

Zhongcheng Sun obtained his master's degree at Jiangsu University in 2021. His master thesis was about an optical study on droplet evaporation and spray combustion characteristics of ternary hydrogenated catalytic biodiesel/methanol/n-octanol blends. After graduation, he joined the Power and Flow group as a Doctoral Candidate.
