Zhaochun Liu is a computational researcher specializing in multiscale simulations aimed at optimizing oxide-supported metal catalysts for CO₂ reduction and biomass-to-X processes. His expertise encompasses electrochemical process modeling, biomass conversion, and thermochemical reactions. Zhaochun is proficient in advanced computational techniques, including Genetic Algorithms (GA), Grand Canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC), and Artificial Neural Network Potentials (ANNP),. He conducts simulations using Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics (AIMD) and Density Functional Theory (DFT).
Experienced with software tools such as VASP, CP2K, and Gaussian, Zhaochun is also skilled in programming languages like C and Python. His research focuses on the CO₂ reduction reaction (CO₂RR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and the theoretical design of electrocatalysts. .
