Yiping Li is a PhD candidate in the Medical Image Analysis Group at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She works on a joint project with the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU), in collaboration with industry partners Rods&Cones and Asensus Surgical. Yiping Li holds a joint bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanjing Technological University (2018–2021), China, and Technological University Dublin (2021–2022), Ireland, where she developed a strong interest in biomedical applications of mechanical engineering. From 2022 to 2023, she completed her master’s degree at Imperial College London, specializing in medical robotics and image-guided intervention at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery, where she built a solid foundation in applying artificial intelligence to surgical data.
