Xi Zhang has obtained his bachelor degree in Electronic Information Engineering at Jilin University in 2011. He has obtained his master degree in Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in 2013. His master thesis was on a 270GHz broadband frequency multiplier in 40nm CMOS technology. Subsequently he pursued the Professional Degree of Engineering postmaster program (PDEng) in Electrical Engineering (currently known as DEES-PDEng program) at Eindhoven University of Technology. His PDEng project was on a CMOS integrated 300 GHz spectroscopy for droplet analysis. Since 2015 he is pursuing his PhD research in the Mixed-signal Microelectronics group of TU/e. He is working on the H2020 EU project WIPE (http://wipe.jeppix.eu/)targeting photonic electronic co-integration of driver amplifiers and EAM modulators for highly integrated high speed modulator drivers for a multi-channel optical communication transmitter.
