Gumuskaya, Volkan, MSc. graduated in 2013 at the Middle East Technical University, Industrial Engineering Department on the topic of Profit Oriented Disassembly Line Balancing in Hybrid Lines. This master thesis has been further developed into a scientific paper in Computers&Industrial Engineering Journal. He worked in industry for 3,5 years as data scientist, assembly leader and planning and control engineer in the order of most recent to the oldest. Currently, he pursues a Ph.D. at the School of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences in a joint project of the groups OPAC and IS. Volkan’s research interests lie on integrating data science with optimization techniques on logistics.
