Tommaso Pini received his master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2012 and earned his PhD in 2017 from Politecnico di Milano, under the supervision of Prof. Frassine. He was briefly a visiting PhD student at Montainuniversitaet of Leoben. In 2017 he received a research grant from Politecnico di Milano and then from 2019 he started working at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), department of Mechanical Engineering, as Postdoctoral researcher in a project shared between Mechanics of Materials and Polymer Technology groups.
Tommaso Pini is a Postdoctoral researcher in the group of Mechanics of Materials at TU/e. His main focuses are the mechanical characterization and modeling of polymers and composite materials, with the aim of quantitavely predicting performances both at short and long term. His research includes also the study of the effects of environment, loading conditions, processing and thermal history on the mechanical response of polymers and composites.
