I want to find a high-efficiency way to produce propylene by propane

Tianwei Wu is a Ph.D. student in the Chemical Process Intensification group, led by Prof. Martin van Sint Annaland at Eindhoven University of Technology(TU/e). His research focuses on a new propene(a very important chemical building block) production technology——chemical looping oxidative dehydrogenation of propane(CL-ODHP). This new technology can overcome the limitations of current propane dehydrogenation technologies, like high energy consumption, low propene yield, coke formation and safety problem. 

Academic background

Tianwei Wu was born in Zhejiang Province, P.R. China, on 31, Oct. 1991. In 2014, he obtained his bachelor degree of Thermal Energy and Power Engineering at Northeastern University(Shenyang, P.R. China). Then, he continued his academic career at Northeastern University for his master degree. His master thesis entitled' Numerical simulation and optimization of the gasification process in top-submerged lance molten furnace' mainly focuses on waste heat recovery of high temperature molten blast furnace slag and coal gasification. In 2016, after obtained the master degree of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at Northeastern University, he became a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University. And in 2018, he joint the Chemical Process Intensification research group at Eindhoven University of Technology(TU/e) as an exchange Ph.D. under the supervison of Prof. Martin van Sint Annaland.
