Personal profile

Quote

“I aim to help students become critical independent thinkers by encouraging and challenging them, while creating an environment that fosters interaction, communication, and growth.”

Research profile

My focus lies at the interface between urban and cultural geography, where my scholarship analyses how cities can use their resources and values towards sustainable development. Key interests include, place-making and participatory approaches, urban cultures and representation, society and smart urbanism. Over the last years I have bought these interests together within child friendly planning, urban development and management of informal areas, and enabling agendas of context driven planning.
