Siddhartha Subramanian earned his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Pondicherry University, India (2014) and MSc in Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University, United Kingdom (2015). After working as Project Engineer at CSIR-Central Electrochemical research Institute, Karaikudi in India for 2 years, he moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue his PhD at TU Delft (in the group of Dr. Tom Burdyny).
His PhD work was focused on understanding spatial considerations in membrane electrdode assembly CO2 electrolyzers at high current densities using a combination of experiments and transport modelling.
Since October 2024, he has been working as a Postdoctoral researcher in Sustainable Process Engineering group of Chemical Engineering department at TU Eindhoven (with Dr. Thijs De Groot) where he will research chlor-alkali and alkaline water electrolysis technologies.
