Academic background

After completing high school in China, I moved to Canada to study Biochemistry (Major) and Chemistry (minor) for my bachelor degree at Mount Allison University. Following that I performed my PhD research under the guidance of Prof. Peter Davies At Queen’s University in Canada. My research focused on determining the structure of a giant 1.5-MDa protein that facilitates the bacterial biofilm formation.
