Personal profile

Academic background

I had my bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University (1994), India. In the first phase of my professional career, I worked with various consultancy companies on power systems/ electrical networks, both in India and in the Netherlands. In 2006, I obtained my master degree in Sustainable Energy Technology (SET) from TU/Eindhoven, the Netherlands. To explore more, I continued my journey at TU/Eindhoven as a Ph.D researcher and worked on the research topic ‘Voltage quality of the future electricity infrastructure’. You can find my Ph.D. research using the following link: os-Bhattacharyya

During 2011-2024, I worked for two network operators (DSO) in the Netherlands, first with Endinet (Alliander) and then with Enexis. From 2025, I started my journey again with TU/Eindhoven, but this time as an assistant professor at the EES group of the Electrical Engineering department (specialization in Power Quality).
