Research profile
Roozbeh Torkzadeh (Esfahan, Iran, 1988) received his M.Sc. (Hon.) degree in electrical engineering from Yazd University in 2013. Since May 2019, he has been with the department of electrical engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven (TU/e), The Netherlands, as a Ph.D. candidate. His Ph.D. project is funded by Netbeheer Nederland, the association for the Dutch grid operators. He is a PhD researcher in TenneT TSO BV, Arnhem, the Netherlands.
He is also with Esfahan Regional Electric Company (EREC), an Iranian TSO, as a power system planning engineer, since 2013 (currently is on leave). He was also with Universidad Loyola Andalucía, Seville, Spain as a research assistant focusing on several EU-H2020 projects, since 2018 and before joining TU/e. His major interests include smart grids, synchrophasor technologies, and power quality.
