Academic background

Rohan Joshi was born in Delhi, India in 1990. By training, he is a biomedical engineer having earned his Bachelor's degree from Manipal University, India and his Master's degree from KU Leuven, Belgium. 

Research profile

Between October 2014-18, Rohan worked towards his PhD in the e/MTIC collaboration between Eindhoven University of Technology, Maxima Medical Center and Philips Research. His doctoral thesis was focused on advancing neonatal monitoring by improving clinical alarm management, developing unobtrusive monitoring techniques and predictive monitoring of alarms and disease conditions such as sepsis. The overarching aim of this work was to develop technological solutions that seamlessly fit in the NICU environment. Currently, Rohan works as a Scientist at Philips Research in the area of infant and maternal health.


Simple ideas conceived logically and pursued with grit can improve human lives.
