Academic background
Robert obtained his MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science at Leiden University. He then became a postdoc within the Data Mining group at Leiden University and afterwards within the Databases and Theoretical Computer Science group at Hasselt University (Belgium). He then moved on to work for a research and technology organization called Flanders Make for three years, before joining the Database Group of Prof. George Fletcher at Eindhoven University of Technology as an assistant professor.
