Research profile

Riccardo's research expertise includes nonlinear and nonsmooth control theory, with particular focus on applications coming from mechatronics engineering.

Recently, he is getting interested in nonlinear (stochastic) system identification, with applications to modelling of pandemic outbreaks.

Academic background

Riccardo received the master’s degree (cum laude) in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Trento (Italy) in 2019, with a thesis titled “Hybrid synchronization of networked oscillators”. He got his Ph.D. degree (cum laude) in Materials, Mechatronics and Systems Engineering from the University of Trento in 2023, on the topic "Hybrid solutions for mechatronic systems: applications to modeling and controller design". He is currently a postdoc researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology.
