Patricia Kahr is a Doctoral Candidate in the Human-Technology Interaction group. For her Ph.D., which is funded by the ESCF project "AI Planner of the Future", she focuses on gaining new insights into trust development and collaboration in human-computer interactions.
Before her Ph.D., Patricia acquired an MSc (cum laude) in "Human Decision Science" at Maastricht University. Her thesis focused on gender stereotypes in human-AI interactions, combining technology and behavioral psychology. This also allowed Patricia to pursue her passion for technology-related ethical issues.
After her undergraduate studies in Applied Media and Communication studies at the University of Technology Ilmenau (Germany), Patricia worked as a senior strategy consultant; she worked with various international companies Solving business problems by analyzing audiences, brands, and their products and services, she not only gained expert knowledge in different branches, she also learned that the best ideas come from combining theory and intuition.
