Nilufar Neyestani is an Assistant Professor in the Integrated Energy Systems team of Electrical Engineering Systems (EES) group focusing on the multi-energy carrier perspective of energy systems with emerging technologies and sector coupling

Academic background

Nilufar Neyestani obtained her MSc. in Electrical Engineering majoring in Power System Studies from Iran University of Science and Technology. After some years of working as a consulting engineer, she moved to Portugal to obtain her PhD which she concluded in 2016. Following her PhD, she joined INESC TEC as postdoc where she was promoted to a senior researcher after 6 months. In 2021, Neyestani joined the energy market team at VITO, Belgium as a senior researcher. In 2023, she became Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
