Nikita Subedi is Doctoral Candidate in the group of immunoengineering under the supervision of Dr. Jurjen Tel. Her research focuses on understanding cellular interaction in immune cells.  She works on developing a Microfluidic droplet based single cell analysis platform to study different effector functions that are generated as a result of interaction of immune cells with their partner cells or molecules. 

Academic background

Nikita Subedi (1990) is from Kathmandu, Nepal. She did her bachelors in Biotechnology, from Kathmandu University, Nepal in 2012. She completed her masters as MSc in Molecular Mechanisms of Diseases from Radboud UMC in 2016. As a part of her master’s training, she worked in two different laboratories, one in RIMLS, Radboud UMC, Nijmegen and the other in DFCI, Harvard Medical School, Boston both of them working in immunology. In Nijmegen she studied plasmacytoid dendritic cells with the group of Dr. Jurjen Tel in understanding the functional heterogeinity within these immune subsets. Her project in DFCI was about developing nanoparticle targeting check point inhibitors like PD1 molecules in T cells thus boosting the T cell mediated cytotoxicity. She joined the group of immunoengineering in 2017 to continue as as PhD candidate in the feild.
