Research profile

Mojtaba Haghi is a Post-doc researcehr in the Electronic Systems group of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU Eindhoven). His research focuses on co-design and implementing control applications on resource-constrained embedded platforms.

Most of modern digital control systems (e.g. automotive control systems, high-precision motion systems) are implemented on embedded platforms. The embedded platforms are cost-efficient and tailored solutions for implementing digital controllers. However they are constrained by one or more resources, e.g. computation, communication, memory, energy/power. Platform architecture, control software and scheduling play a key role to achieve functional correctness (e.g. stability and performance) of the embedded controllers.

To this aim, Mojtaba's current research is on the development a water-embedded model predictive (WE-MPC) framework for water grids. By targeting multi-core hardware platform to implement the developed framework. The proposed multi-core deployment aims to offer an efficient computation framework for WE-MPC with execution time in the order of minutes.

Academic background

Mojtaba obtained his master's degree in Electrical Engineering at AmirKabir University of Technology. He started his Ph.D. in 2017 at Eindhoven University of Technology under supervision of Prof.Kees Goossens and is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the same university.
