Post Doctoral Research Associate working on the Strontium neutral atom quantum computer, with a particular focus on automation and single qubit addressing.

Academic background

Max Festenstein read Physics at Imperial College London and obtained an integrated masters degree (MSci) in 2019, with a final project on the simulation of noise in trapped ion qubit registers, before undertaking a PhD at Durham University. At Durham, he worked in Charles Stuart Adams' group on collective Rydberg excitons and graduated in 2023. As of January 2024, he is working on automation and single qubit addressing for the Sr quantum computing project in the CQT group at the TU/e.
