Mart van der Kam works on standardisation of electric vehicle charging protocols in the project evRoaming4EU, aiming to facilitate roaming services for charging electric vehicles within the EU. Before coming to the TU/e, he worked as a PhD candidate in the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development (Utrecht University) on the NWO project Realizing the smart grid: aligning consumer behaviour with technological opportunities. His main research interests include electric vehicle charging, smart grids, and social simulation.
