Personal profile

Research profile

Marijn Venderbosch is working as a PhD candidate within the group Coherence and Quantum Technology on designing and building a new experiment. In this experiment, atoms are cooled to just over one millionth of a degree above absolute zero, after which they can be trapped in a laser hologram to be used as quantum bits.

Academic background

Marijn obtained his bachelor and master at Eindhoven University of Technology. His master thesis titled 'holographic optical tweezers for arrays of single atoms' was supervised by Edgar Vredenbregt and Servaas Kokkelmans.

Quote

"In our lab we can drag and drop individual atoms and control their quantum states".
