In 2009 I started as undergraduate in Industrial and Engineering Chemistry at the Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. Starting from general courses I followed the route towards the organic and supramolecular chemistry. Throughout the course I participated in multiple research projects at the University of Southampton (UK), UPMC (Paris VI, France) and University of Surrey (Guildford, UK). After graduation in 2014, I joined the team of Selvita, Krakow, Poland, where I worked as a synthesis specialist in the Department of Contract Chemistry. The latter one was essentially an invaluable lesson of making chemistry real and clarifying my own goals. This brought me eventually to come over to Meijer Group in September 2015.

 In my PhD project I will investigate how the specific supramolecular interactions in pair with the sequence control affect the self-assembly process and folding of the polymers into Single-Chain Polymer Nanoparticles. For this purpose I will synthesize perfectly defined monodisperse (i.e. Mw/Mn ~ 1.0000) polymers of based on polysiloxane backbone holding regularly distributed supramolecular motifs. These systems are expected to exhibit superior low feature sizes and form films with nanostructured patterns giving access to nanolithography applications.
